Beverley Folk & Roots Club Moves

Beverley Folk & Roots Club (Not to be confused with The White Horse Folk Club.also in Beverley) has moved to, The Ferguson Fawsitt Arms, East End, Walkington, Nr Beverley HU17 8RX. They continue to host a concert every month featuring contemporary folk acts including; Celtic Folk, Blues, Bluegrass and World music performers. Changes at Beverley Folk Club

Beverley Folk Club (Not to be confused with The White Horse Folk Club) are no longer using the function room at the Beverley Conservative Club as it is too small and have relocated to the function room at Hodgson’s Pub, Flemingate, Beverley, HU17 0NU. They have also renamed themselves, Beverley Folk & Roots to avoid any confusion with the White Horse Folk Club.

The White Horse Folk Club (Beverley) Moves

A new venue for The White Horse Folk Club. As of 7th July 2014 the club will be at The Rose and Crown, North Bar Without, Beverley. All other details remain the same.

New session in Scarborough

A session with a slight difference opens in Scarborough on Sunday 24th April 5.30 - 8. under the title of Scarborough Folk Singers Songwriters and Musicians the session meets at The Ivanhoe, Scalby Mills Rd, Scarborough, North Yorkshire YO12 6QX and is described as A traditional acoustic folk session for musicians of all abilities, plus a spot in the middle for singers/songwriters to perform their own material. free pint / drink for all musicians..

The New Free Acoustic Singaround formerly at The Victoria Hotel, has moved to The Lighthorseman, 124 Fulford Road, York. YO10 4BE still on 2nd & 4th Sundays at 8pm. For further information contact Tony Haynes on 01904 762864.

Topic Folk Club Moves

The Topics former home (The Irish Club) has now closed and in consequence the Topic has moved to Glyde House, Little Horton Lane, Bradford BD5 0BQ with effect from January 2nd. 2014 The night remains unchanged, being every Thursday From 8.30pm. Louth Folk Club Moves

Louth Folk Club will move to a new venue commencing on Tuesday 11 th August at the "Brown Cow", 113 Newmarket, Louth, LN11 9EG. Start Time 8:30 p.m. Meeting dates will be as before i.e. Second and Fourth Tuesdays of every month except for the Christmas period.

Scanlon's Folk Nights return to Brigg (North Lincs)

After a couple of years of closure and uncertainty the Nelthorpe Arms on Bridge Street, Brigg has been renovated and re-opened. Scanlon's Folk Nights return on Wednesday 13th August at 8.30 in its original singaround format.
